Spray Tanning

Tanning Pre Care

Waxing and Shaving: These should be completed at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. Please use a razor that does not have a moisture strip.

Exfoliation: As soon as you book your appointment, begin daily exfoliation. Stop exfoliating 24 hours prior to your appointment. It is best to use an exfoliating mitt.

No Barriers: Do not use any lotions, oils, makeup, perfume, or deoderant. These can create a barrier on the skin.

Spa Treatments: Tanning should always be the last treatment completed. Complete facials, massages, nails, and body treatments the day prior to your tan.

Clothing: Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing, preferably long sleeves and long pants. Flip flops are also best if possible. During your tan you can wear whatever makes you most comfortable, or nothing at all. Again, no judgement.

Showering: Any bar or cream soaps (especially Dove) will leave a residue on your skin and an cause streaking after development. Gel body washes are best. Shower at least 4 hours before appointment to allow ph levels to return to normal and rinse with cold water to close pores.

Tanning Post Care

Before Rinsing: Do not get wet or sweat until your first rise after your tan. No liquids (makeup) on the skin at all until after you rinse.

NO touching your tan: If you don't want stained hands, refrain from touching until after your initial rinse.

Initial Rinse: rinse at designated time or proper development. Do not use any soap at first rinse. Keep rinsing, using only hands, until you no longer see streaks from the bronzer.

Stay hydrated: Drink lots of water. Apply a lotion that does not contain mineral oil 2 times per day.

Future Showers: Avoid loofahs or wash cloths to ensure a long lasting tan. Gel based body wash is best, or any spray tan safe wash.
